BLACK VIOLIN. This shit is fiiiiiiiiire. Think Vanessa Mae on hip hop steroids with a little bit of Step it Up 2 the Streets feel. This discovery with the onset of The Soloist (Jamie Foxx, Robert Downey Jr.) has got me all juiced with the classical world. Although, if they can’t make it sincerely seem like Jamie Foxx is actually playing the cello, I will stab someone in the eye. Black Violin consists of Kev Marcus on the violin and Wil B. on the viola. Hailing from Florida, these two have opened for notables including Jay-Z, Akon, Common, to name a few. Listen to the track and hear the fanfare. Their self-titled album dropped in 2007, but a new mixtape is beckoning on the horizon of 2009.
